Eighteen months ago, I chose not to study Art A level, after my GCSEs were cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic.  I had to make a quick decision, and I wasn’t confident enough in my artistic abilities at the time.

I started studying for my A levels in Psychology, Philosophy and Business and found myself drawn to creative projects at home like jewellery making, painting cards for occasions and quick sketches here and there. This was when I realised how much I missed art.

I realised that I wanted to pursue a creative career and so decided to investigate my options for the future. I discovered that I could study an Art Foundation Diploma at University, without needing any previous Art qualifications. From August to January 2022, I took on the challenge of creating my portfolio for my foundation application alongside my A levels.

From my experience so far, I find acrylic painting or pen drawing to be my strongest abilities. However, in the process of making my portfolio I found that I really enjoyed creating my clay sculptures, as well as experimenting with oil painting.

Aside from school and art, I love cooking, walking my dogs and socialising with my friends.  I’m really looking forward to developing my art, learning what I am best at, and deciding where it will take me next.

Thank you for visiting my website and I hope you enjoy looking at my artwork!
